$1 Can Change the World

It can buy you a soda, a candy bar, a song download, even a movie rental these days! In fact, there’s a whole store devoted to selling you nifty things for a dollar! An American dollar can get you a whole lot really… but did you know that

 
 WHAAAAAAT is this craziness you're hearing? It's the truth, yep that's right (keep reading to find out more!!)!! 

I've been thinking of all the dollars I throw away day by day on useless things… here are some quick examples of them (I’m sure you can relate to a few). 
 
1) Are you the person who buys a coffee every morning?

 
2) Are you the person who buys lunch instead of packing one during the work week?
           -Average Price: $42.67 per week. (Boatyard Bagels and Chipotle get me here)
 
3) How about a grocery trip.. How many unnecessary items do you find yourself putting in the cart?
           -Lets just say this: 60% of your bill is impulse items (I know we’ve "gotta" have that beef jerkey and ice cream… but that’s a lot of extra dollars)
           
4) Are you the unskilled person at the gas pump who can’t ever stop the pump at the even .00 and decides to keep pumping dollars in until you finally get it? (yes, I am so guilty of this!)
          -My Average Price: Too much to talk about sometimes. (we’ll just say $5…..or $12…)
 
So those are just a few day to day examples, but if you just so happened to find yourself guilty of one of these things, or can match a missing dollar to the candy bar wrapper sitting on your car floor, I have a question to ask you..

Would you, for one day, choose to put that dollar towards something that won’t be burned up in a car, eaten, downed in a rush, or forgotten about?
 

*******Would you choose to give that dollar to share the Gospel , the Word of LIFE, with people who haven’t begun living because they’ve never heard it? To give hope to the lost and to open the eyes of the broken and blind to show them they’re made for so much more than their own eyes can see?  To bring joy to the faces and hearts of  those trapped in sorrow and despair? To break the chains of sinners and show them freedom and power in the Lord? To love on the widows and orphans and abandoned? To feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to heal the sick, and help the poor?*******
 

Would you give up one dollar so that THOUSANDS of people across the world can feel the loving arms of Jesus wrapped around them, many for the first time?
