So I was off of Ministry this week thanks to a lovely stomach infection and a parasite… nothing serious though, no worries :). I am feeling SO much better now and have really been blessed with the time I’ve got to spend with the Lord this week. Here’s a blog I typed up while hangin out with Jesus. 🙂

Is there anything in between you and Jesus? Is there anything keeping you from running full speed into his arms? Anything preventing you from hearing his voice clearly and walking boldly into what he’s calling you to?

Run into his presence, let him search your heart, and lay it down at his feet.

The Lord answers to those who seek him. He knows our hearts desires and wants us to fully rely on his power and not our own. He’s calling you to trust today. He’s calling you to desire him more than anything else. He wants you to put your delight and hope in him and He will provide all you need. He has a plan for you and he wants to reveal it but he needs all of you, not just pieces and parts.. He wants everything. If there are parts of you that are broken let him pick up the pieces and restore you. Everyone’s broken, but there is no brokenness to great for the Lord. It’s in our weakness that he is made strong in us. Commit to Him fully.

It’s so beautiful to be on a mountain top with the Lord and to be able to feel his love and grace in supernatural ways, but we can’t grow our tallest at a spiritual high. We aren’t always desperate for the Lord when everything’s okay. But in our valley of brokenness running to the Lord , our refuge, can become our natural response. This then can transform into our normal response, and then, even when everything is going smoothly, our hearts will still be desperate for His embrace and we will strive to seek him in every way.

Jesus loves you no matter what! Repent. You know those burdens you’ve given up to the Lord 1,000 times but you still feel like you’re holding onto some pieces? Lay it down for the 1,001th time. He’ll keep on taking it from you. That’s mercy, that’s grace, that’s love, that’s Jesus.

Don’t let these issues get in the way of God’s purpose for your life. You’re not defined by your past, but your past has brought to exactly where you are supposed to be, and that’s right here in this moment. “In all things God works for the good of those who love him.” (Romans 8:28a) Good and bad, the Lord finds a way. God can redeem things intended for evil, transforming them for good. And the good that God works may not be apparent to us at the time; we may not always see the results as good. God’s work is a spiritual, eternal work for good- preparing us for the future. Your past has prepared you for today.

The one thing that the Lord desires most is for you to simply be still in his presence today. Rest in His embrace and push in closer to His heart. Leave all your worries and burdens, your doubts and fears, your trials and troubles behind… come to the well. Let Him fill you and send you out.
